FAQ
Answers to your Questions…
WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO PROTECT AGAINST THE SPREAD OF KENNEL COUGH AND OTHER RESPIRATORY DISEASES
There are precautions that can be taken to help prevent infection. The pets in our care mean so much to us and we treat them like our own to ensure they stay as safe and healthy as possible. As part of our normal routines, there are several things we do as we move from pet to pet.
- Wash our hands and use hand sanitizer
- Clean surfaces with appropriate disinfectants such as bleach solutions as we go
- Sanitize and disinfect equipment, our shoes and clothing
- Wash and sanitize food bowls after each use
- Wash and sanitize water bowls daily
- Clean the kennel facility daily with disinfectants such as bleach solutions
- Deep clean kennels in between stays with disinfectants such as bleach solutions
- Run air purifiers and ceiling fans at the kennel to keep fresh air circulating
- Privacy barriers between kennels
- We DO NOT allow pets from different households to eat and drink out of communal bowls
- We DO NOT share toys or bedding
- We DO NOT allow group play with pets from other households
We also require vet recommended vaccinations. Vaccinations do not prevent the disease however should lessen symptoms and the duration. As an extra precaution for kennel stays, we recommend you wash any bedding that you brought for your pet’s stay once you return home.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO FOLLOW SAFETY PROTOCOL DURING COVID-19?
We understand concerns around Coronavirus and are taking extra precautions for our family, friends and clients to ensure we all stay as healthy as possible. The protocol we have in place is consistent to prevent the spread of any time of germs or bacteria. We wash our hands and use anti-bacterial sanitizer several times and in between sittings. We spray our shoes with disinfectant in between homes. We believe in no contact with people or other pets we may encounter while your pets are in our care, including dog walks. We use your tools, including leash, collar, harnesses, etc., so as to not share them with other pets in other homes.

WHAT IS YOUR SERVICE AREA?
DO YOU PROVIDE IN-CLIENT-HOME PET CARE?
YES! We offer In-Client-Home pet care services. Quite often, a change in routine is tough on pets, especially if they’re already anxious or reactive. They may not adjust well if they have to bounce back and forth between their familiar home surroundings and another facility or home where everything is different. And potentially, other pets from other homes/packs are present. We offer a solution where they experience less change, and less change means less stress. A stress-free pet is a happy pet.
DO YOU BOARD OR KENNEL?
YES! In addition to our In-Client-Home services, we offer high quality Kennel Stays at our facility at 2118 Cincinnati Ave., Lebanon, Ohio (previously operated by Cathy as Dwire’s Country Kennel until her retirement at the end of 2023). Our kennels are one of the best in the area by way of cleanliness and the amount of companionship time we spend with your dogs.
WHAT TYPE OF PETS TO YOU TAKE CARE OF?
Dogs and cats are our most popular clients; however, we also care for small caged pets, birds and fish. Depending on the type of pet you have, we may be able to help. Contact us for more detail.
DO YOU PROVIDE REFERENCES?
Our client reviews speak for themselves. We encourage you to check us out on Google, Facebook and our website before making a decision to hire us. If you’re still not convinced, we are happy to put you in touch with some of our clients who will be happy to recommend us.
WILL I MEET MY SITTER AND HAVE THE SAME ONE EVERY VISIT?
We work as a team so we have backup support in place in the event your scheduled sitter is delayed or has an emergency. I will visit with you at the Meet-and-Greet to get to know you and your pets … and give you and your pets the opportunity to get to know me. We will then assign the perfect pet sitter for your pets. When someone from my team is assigned to support your schedule, I have them join me on a visit or two before they conduct a visit solo so I can do introductions for them with your pets.
WHAT MAKES YOU A PROFESSIONAL?
We are licensed, insured, bonded and have clear background checks. We require our team to go through various trainings and certifications. All sitters maintain a current Pet First Aid and CPR certification. I have a high standard for the pet care I use for my own pets and an even higher standard for yours so I only want the best on the team!
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes, we are insured through Business Insurers of the Carolinas, a provider of insurance coverage specifically designed for pet care professionals since 1992. Additional details are available upon request.
